An Edwardian 9ct Gold and Connemara marble bar brooch featuring an Irish Harp with a shamrock leaf to either side. The harp and leaves are inlaid with green Connemara marble. There are hallmarks on the back of the bar although they’ve been poorly struck and are hard to read – but the brooch appears to have been made in Birmingham in 1906. It comes with what appears to be its original case which has the name ‘Dickinson & Co, Manchester & Burnley’ – the only mention I could find of them was an image of James Street in Burnley in 1904 (in the Red Rose Archive on the Lancashire County Council Website)
