A modernist sterling silver table lighter by Towle Silver, possibly designed by Earl Pardon. The lighter itself is housed within a sterling silver body with an enamel top in yellow and black. The silver body (without the lighter) weighs 84g and is 7.6cm in diameter and stands 7cm tall. The base is marked ‘Towle Sterling’ with a product No.1903.

Earl Pardon was an American artist and jewellery maker who worked as head of design for Towle Silversmiths in 1954 and 1955. While there he created products that combined silver and enamel and this combination of yellow enamel within a black enamel border appears on other pieces he designed for Towle
