A Victorian Sterling Silver Spectacles Case, Birmingham, Halton & Allday, date letter rubbed. Elaborate chased decoration of leaves and flowers to top and bottom halves with cartouche on top half engraved ‘A.H. Pilling 1897’, hinge and catch still working although the catch is a little weak and the top a little bowed, the case is lined with blue velvet (now a bit worn). Case measures 16cm x 4cm x 1.6cm and weighs 71grams.
